Terms of Service

soothing.ai ("soothing", "we") makes AI-generated ambient soundscapes from descriptions you type. By using soothing.ai you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What the service is

You describe how you feel or what you want to hear; our systems compose a scene and generate audio, images, and text for it using AI models. Scenes are creative, generated content — they never repeat exactly and may not always match what you asked for.

Not medical care

soothing is for relaxation and enjoyment. It is not medical or mental-health advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a professional. If you're in crisis or worried about your health, contact a qualified provider or local emergency services.

Your account

You can use soothing without an account. Signing in (for example with Google) lets us keep your scenes together across devices. You're responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) to create an account.

Free tier and Pro

The free tier includes a limited number of new scenes per day; replays are unlimited. Pro is a paid subscription (billed by Stripe) that removes limits and adds features like downloads. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel anytime from your account page and keep access until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

Your content and ours

• The descriptions you type remain yours. You give us permission to process them to generate your scenes and to operate the service.
• You can listen to and (on Pro) download your generated audio for personal and commercial use, subject to the licenses of our audio-model providers.
• Scenes are public by default so others can replay them from the Explore page and share links. Don't put private information in a scene description.
• The soothing name, site, design, and software are ours; please don't copy, scrape, resell, or reverse-engineer the service.

Acceptable use

Don't use soothing to generate unlawful or harmful content, probe or overload our systems, evade limits, or infringe others' rights. We may throttle, suspend, or remove content or accounts that break these rules or harm the service.

Availability and changes

We're a small product that leans on third-party AI providers, so features may change and generation may occasionally fail or be slow. We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes to these terms; continuing to use the service after changes means you accept them.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
